Our First Real Stork Mom Profile

Every so often we are going to feature a profile of a “Real Stork Mom”.  Our first one feature’s Kimberly from Ottawa.  Upcoming profiles will feature moms who hail from coast to coast and across the continent.

Family’s Names and Ages: Mark 34, Teagan 3, Avery 10 months
Occupation: Database Administrator

If I had a day to myself…:  If I had a whole day to myself I would sleep in as late as I could (which is hard even when I want to!), go to the Scandinavian spa for a few hours, have lunch at my favourite vegetarian restaurant near the spa, go home and read a book for the rest of the afternoon and then enjoy a dinner with my family that I didn’t cook.

My ideal day with my family:  On weekends we have a little tradition of playing with the kids in our bed in the morning before getting breakfast ready.  After breakfast it’s fun to hang out with the girls and watch them play or bake something with my oldest daughter.  Then we would go to a park with a pool and play there until it was time to return home for dinner and bed.  Once the girls are in bed my husband and I would snuggle down and watch a movie.

Stuff I can’t live without:  Caffeine, books, my wireless laptop and the Internet

Favourite mommy tip(s) to share with other moms:  Tie dyed shirts make great daycare clothes because they can get stains and you can pretend it’s just a part of the colouring. 

Favourite Stork Stuff: All of it!  Right now though I’m very fond of the Klean Kanteen Kolor sippy cups.  Every time I’m out with one I’m stopped by a parent (or several) asking where I’d gotten it.  In fact I’ve bought a few extra for upcoming birthday gifts.
